Handover Pack Guide

The Domestic Handover Pack

Four documents. One professional pack. What every UK installer should hand to their customer after a domestic split or multi-split installation.

The Four Core Documents

For a typical domestic split or multi-split installation, these are the minimum we recommend in every customer handover pack.

Commissioning Report

Essential

Records

  • Pressure tested
  • Vacuum tested
  • Correctly charged
  • Electrically tested
  • Commissioned
  • Operating correctly on handover

This protects both the installer and the customer.

F-Gas Installation Record

Essential

Records

  • Equipment installed
  • Refrigerant type
  • Refrigerant charge
  • Any additional refrigerant added
  • Installer certification details
  • Engineer details
  • Installation date

Provides the compliance record for the installation and supports future maintenance.

Equipment Schedule

Recommended

Records

  • Indoor Unit
  • Outdoor Unit
  • Serial Number
  • Refrigerant

Customers lose manuals and forget model numbers. This single sheet makes future maintenance much easier.

Customer Handover Certificate

Recommended

Records

  • Installation completed
  • System demonstrated
  • Manuals supplied
  • Maintenance explained
  • Customer accepted the installation

Signed by both parties.

Supporting Information

Rather than making these separate certificates, we include them in the pack.

Manufacturer user manuals (PDF)
Warranty registration confirmation
Maintenance recommendations (clean filters every 3 months, annual service)
Installer contact details
